Freda's Thoughts "Turning the Page!"
There won't be any party at our house - no booze, no waiting up for midnight; these don't make life any better! But there will be prayers, asking the Lord for forgiveness, mercy, grace and His blessing on any time He gives us beyond this moment! The new year belongs to Him!
Please leave your comments to encourage Sister Freda, as she continues to struggle with what might lie ahead for her. Thanks! And may God bless you in the coming year as well!

Freda's Thoughts "Christmas Traditions & Lessons"
Both Freda and I wish everyone a "Merry Christmas"! As you enjoy your Christmas traditions, keep in mind the true meaning of "Joy to the World" - the coming of the Savior of the World, Jesus! May you have a blessed holiday season!

Freda's thoughts "Lost & Found, in Space"
In her 94 years, Freda has had quite an interesting life! I'm so glad that she decided to share some of it with us on this blog site. I pray that you feel that her posts have enriched you in some way. Please keep her in your prayers, as she heads toward the end of her time on earth. And please leave your comments to encourage her. Freda's Thoughts "Time for a change!"
Freda wishes to thank all who are praying for her. At age 94, she is doing pretty good, but it is still only by God's Grace, to be able to make it day by day.
We are both hoping that you will be exercising your right to vote this coming week in the national elections. The Lord will be in charge of the results, exercising His Will for our nation. Let us look to Him, trusting that He will be pleased with our devotion to Him and bless us!
There is another change to make this weekend: those who need to go off "daylight savings", need to turn their clocks back one hour!
May you be blessed and, if you would, please leave a comment to encourage Freda. Thanks.

Freda's Thoughts "My Fall Ailments"
I hope you aren't too disappointed in finding this post, instead of one of Freda's memories! She really could use your prayers. At age 94 yrs., she has her many ailments to contend with; but she is still able to cope pretty well with all of them. This one, as she says, comes once or twice each year. Sometimes it is worse than other times. This time it also comes at a time when I'm sure her mind is on other things. It was at the end of this month that her husband, of almost 6 decades, died. It has been about 20 yrs. ago now, I believe. Even though she doesn't mark that death date, I'm sure it still crosses her mind. So an extra prayer would help her for that too!
I would ask that you leave an agreeable comment, to encourage her in writing out these posts each week, but not mention her husband's passing when you leave one this time. Thanks.
Freda is a very special lady and she really does like to share her memories with you. At her age, we don't know how much longer she will be able to do that! So, if you appreciate her posts, please let her know. Thanks again!

Freda's Thoughts "Personal Disasters"
Turning disasters into triumphs doesn't happen over night; it could take years before you realize how your trust in the Lord has been a success. Once you understand and operate with God's perspective, you will have more triumphs, success and peace of mind when adversity comes your way.
Even at age 94, Freda is still learning to trust God more and more each day. Please leave your comments to encourage her. Thanks!

"It's all in the details!" MY HISTORIC HOUSE
My contractor just put the first of these "Victorian Gingerbread" pieces up!
He has done a fantastic job of restoration!
Now it is up to the Lord to supply someone to purchase this great house!
The Lord has already brought a beautiful, sunny day!
Please pray for all this & share my posts. Thanks!

My Historic House - Open House!
After months of extensive restoration to the outside of my historic house, it is ready for a "Real Estate Open House"! The open house will take place on Saturday, September 17th, during the Laura Ingalls Wilder Festival.
If you are in town, attending the Festival activities, I hope you'll stop in for the open house! You may also be able to visit with 94 yr. old, Freda, who is a cousin of Almanzo Wilder! She lives in my home, as I am her care giver.
You can see the real estate lising, if you search: Missouri MultiList 60062640
Pleas feel free to share this with others! (especially Laura Ingalls Wilder fans!) Laura was a frequent visitor in the house, when she was a member of a local ladies' club. You never know who might be interested in moving to the hometown of Laura! Any interested parties had better hurry; it may sell this weekend!
I am busy, packing, making ready to move! Please pray for all this to take place, so that we can make a move to a new home. (Preferably, a little farm on the prairie!) I am hoping to downsize for health's sake.
With all the updates and upgrades I've made, I've leaving this house in much better condition than I found it 15yrs. ago! It has been a great home!
I hope someone will love it as much as I have!

Freda's Thoughts "Memories of Stupie"
Freda did a pretty good job of remembering these stories, after about 50 years! (Look how young she looks in that picture! - she would have been around 45!) Please leave her your comments, to encourage her to bring more memories as posts on my blog. Thanks.

Freda's Thoughts "Seeking a Cure!"
Jesus is the cure for whatever ails you! If you'll read in the Bible, (Matthew chapter 6) you'll see how to live without worrying. Every night, I have Sister Freda repeat Proverbs 3: 5,6; which has become our favorite passage of scripture. In the Word of God, you'll find the "Words of Life"!

Freda's Thoughts "School Daze"
This week, while watching TV, Freda saw where an old school house was being restored. She wanted to share her memories of going to a one-room school house. She hopes that her post shows the contrast between her experience and how spoiled the kids have it these days.
You may get the finest education available today, but I think the "School of Hard Knocks" proves to be better; making you a well-rounded individual! That's the school that she attended! In my opinion, it has given her a better education than if she had attended any "So-called" school of higher learning!
If you appreciate Freda's posts, please leave some comments to encourage her. It isn't easy for a lady, 94 yrs. old, to come up with something pertinent to today's world! She would encourage everyone to have a "Biblical World View", not just follow blindly, the ways of the world!
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
Proverbs 22:6
